Corrie ten Boom, auteure de Vagabonde pour le Seigneur, était une écrivaine chrétienne néerlandaise, survivante de l'Holocauste et humanitaire renommée pour son courage pour avoir caché des Juifs pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Née en 1892 à Amsterdam, elle a co-dirigé un réseau clandestin qui a sauvé environ 800 vies juives, un acte qui a conduit à son emprisonnement au camp de concentration de Ravensbrück.

Ses mémoires, mêlant des récits non romanesques basés sur la foi avec des thèmes de pardon et d'évangélisation mondiale, s'inspirent de ses voyages d'après-guerre dans plus de 60 pays en tant que missionnaire.
