Jon Krakauer est l'auteur à succès de Tragédie à l'Everest (Into Thin Air) et un alpiniste chevronné qui a survécu à l'expédition catastrophique de 1996 sur l'Everest, laquelle a coûté la vie à huit grimpeurs.
