Mohamedou Ould Slahi, auteur des mémoires acclamés au niveau international Les Carnets de Guantánamo, est un écrivain mauritanien et ancien détenu dont le récit direct de son emprisonnement est devenu une œuvre marquante de la littérature contemporaine sur les droits de l'homme.

Né en 1970, Slahi a suivi une formation d'ingénieur électricien en Allemagne avant d'être détenu sans inculpation à Guantánamo Bay de 2002 à 2016.
