Stop treating yourself like a machine and start mastering the four dimensions of energy to eliminate burnout and fuel your biggest ambitions.

We treat ourselves like machines that should run at a constant RPM from wake to collapse, but our biology just doesn't work that way. The problem usually isn't how we're managing our time; it's how we're managing our energy.
How can I maximize the use of my energy every day? Between doing things like housework, commuting, performing my actual job while at work, grocery shopping, enjoying what free time I do have with my spouse and kids, trying to exercise where possible, I feel tired and drained and not able to “level up”. I’ve tried optimizing sleep and nutrition, but this only offers small improvements. I have big dreams and there need big energy to accomplish them.

Jackson: You know, Nia, I was talking to a friend who is doing all the "right" things—optimizing sleep, eating clean—but they still feel like they’re running on an empty tank by 2 PM. It’s like they have these big dreams to "level up," but the daily grind of housework and commuting just leaves them drained.
Nia: It’s so relatable, right? But here’s the counterintuitive part: the problem usually isn’t how they’re managing their time; it’s how they’re managing their energy. We treat ourselves like machines that should run at a constant RPM from wake to collapse, but our biology just doesn't work that way.
Jackson: Exactly! I saw a stat that 82% of employees are at risk of burnout right now. It makes you realize that "busy" isn't the same as "productive."
Nia: Spot on. We only have about 90 to 120 minutes of peak cognitive performance at a time. If you try to push through that, you’re basically borrowing energy from your future self.
Jackson: So, instead of just squeezing more tasks into the day, we need a better framework. Let’s dive into the four dimensions of energy—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual—to see where those leaks are happening.
