Richard J. Haier es el autor de The Neuroscience of Intelligence (La neurociencia de la inteligencia) y un investigador pionero en las bases neurológicas de la cognición humana. Como profesor emérito de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de California, Irvine, Haier ha dedicado más de cuatro décadas al uso de tecnologías de imagen cerebral como PET, RM y MEG para descubrir cómo la estructura y la función del cerebro se relacionan con la inteligencia.
