David Heinemeier Hansson is a Danish programmer, entrepreneur, and writer best known for creating Ruby on Rails, the open-source web framework that reshaped modern application development. As co-owner and CTO of 37signals, he also coauthored Rework and It Doesn’t Have to Be Crazy at Work, influencing software and management thinking.

Biografía y Trayectoria del Autor

David Heinemeier Hansson grew up in Copenhagen and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Computer Science from Copenhagen Business School. An early web career in Denmark led to a partnership with Jason Fried; by 2005 he had formally joined 37signals and moved to the United States. The decisive turn was his work on Basecamp, launched in 2004, and his creation of Ruby on Rails in 2003 as the framework behind it. By separating Rails from the product, he became known far beyond the company.
