Michael Joseph Connelly ist der Bestsellerautor von „Der Poet“ und ein Meister der Kriminalliteratur mit über 40 Romanen in seinem Werk. Geboren 1956 in Philadelphia, arbeitete Connelly als Polizeireporter für die Los Angeles Times, bevor er sich der Belletristik zuwandte.
