Holly Jackson is a British author of young adult mystery and thriller novels, best known for A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, Five Survive, and The Reappearance of Rachel Price. Her fiction combines teen perspectives with investigative suspense, and her breakout series became an international bestseller, was translated into dozens of languages, and was later adapted for television.
Holly Jackson is a British novelist whose rise in suspense fiction was shaped by an early, durable fascination with storytelling. She grew up in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, as the middle child of a BBC production assistant and a camera operator, and she has said she knew by around age eleven that she wanted to write. By fifteen, she had completed a long fantasy manuscript, an early rehearsal for the disciplined plotting that would later define her career. She went on to study at the University of Nottingham and completed a master’s degree in English before returning home and continuing to develop her fiction.
