Biografía y Trayectoria del Autor

Alain de Botton was born in Zurich, Switzerland, in December 1969 to a family with a rich Sephardic and Ashkenazi Jewish heritage. His early years were spent in Switzerland, where he spoke French and German before moving to London at age eight. Educated at the Dragon School and Harrow, de Botton went on to take a double starred first in history at Cambridge University and completed a master’s degree in philosophy at King’s College London. He was later a PhD candidate at Harvard and King’s. This rigorous academic background provided a foundation for his later synthesis of philosophy, literature, and psychological insight.
