    Synopsis of the book “The Self-Care Solution: A Year of Becoming Happier, Healthier, and Fitter--One Month at a Time” which focuses on small experiments that can be done offer the course of a year. The YouTube creator Matt D’Avella did something similar with a series of 30-day experiments that covered 30 days of: meditation, cold showers, 10,000 steps per day, and other common life-transformation techniques. Think about annual goals for the New Year, especially around fitness, money and sleep, and discuss ways to effectively implement them. Focus on fitness (daily push-ups, 10,000 steps and stretching), and finances (reducing debt) and sleep (sleep/wake time and quality). Talk about practical ways to accomplish these goals; then innovative ways and then any big ideas around life transformation in the New Year. Be sure to avoid overly flowery language like describing every new idea as “phenomenal.” We’re talking about self-help books not some spiritual transcendent experience, so use appropriate language. The hosts should, at times, debate one another on a topic. So when discussing approaches to fitness or finance, each can take a “side” and have a safe, professional debate about the best approaches and their pros and cons. This should be done to help the listener gain insight into the topic and the potential different perspective’s and approaches. Bring in additional sources and examples as needed.
