En este modelo, el individuo se convierte en un "empresario de sí mismo" que se impone el látigo de la productividad constante bajo el lema "tú puedes". Esto genera una violencia neuronal que no viene de fuera, sino del exceso de positividad y estímulos, lo que deriva frecuentemente en agotamiento, sentimientos de insuficiencia y depresión cuando no se alcanzan las metas ideales impuestas por redes sociales como Instagram.

    El deseo (Eros) requiere de la existencia de un "otro" que sea diferente, misterioso e incluso inalcanzable. Sin embargo, la sociedad actual busca la transparencia total y el consumo inmediato, tratando a las personas como productos de Amazon que se descartan con un "swipe". Al evitar el riesgo de sufrir o de enfrentarse a lo diferente, el amor se convierte en una transacción segura y narcisista. Sin esa distancia y sin la voluntad de ser vulnerable ante otra persona, el deseo se agota y el individuo queda atrapado en un eco de sí mismo.

    A diferencia de la biopolítica de Foucault, que controlaba los cuerpos mediante la disciplina y la prohibición, la psicopolítica es un "Smart Power" que controla la mente a través de la seducción y la libertad aparente. El sistema no prohíbe, sino que incita a compartir, opinar y consumir, utilizando el Big Data para conocer y predecir nuestros deseos. Es un control invisible donde el individuo entrega voluntariamente su intimidad y su psique al algoritmo, creyendo que está ejerciendo su libertad cuando en realidad está siendo optimizado para el capital.

    Ser un "idiota" no es un insulto, sino una forma de resistencia que consiste en atreverse a no saber, a no estar informado y a no participar en el ruido constante de la comunicación digital. El idiota es aquel que interrumpe el flujo de "lo igual" y se permite el silencio o la duda. Esta práctica, junto con la recuperación del "aburrimiento profundo" y la capacidad de contemplar sin buscar un beneficio productivo, permite sabotear la máquina del rendimiento y recuperar la soberanía sobre el propio tiempo y pensamiento.

    Han propone volver al "orden de la tierra" y a las cosas sólidas frente a las "no-cosas" digitales (información efímera). Un jardín, por ejemplo, impone sus propios tiempos y ofrece una resistencia física que el mundo digital, siempre terso y fácil, no tiene. Cuidar algo que no es uno mismo obliga a salir del narcisismo y a recuperar la "pedagogía del mirar". Al aceptar la lentitud de los procesos naturales y la "negatividad" de lo real (lo que ensucia o hace esperar), el ser humano deja de ser un procesador de datos para volver a habitar el mundo con todos sus sentidos.
