This isn't positive thinking or empty affirmations-it's a scientifically validated approach that's as effective as medication but teaches you skills that last forever. When you're depressed, your brain becomes a courtroom where you're always guilty, a fortune-teller predicting doom, a critic finding fault in everything you do. But what if you could learn to be your own defense attorney, reality-checker, and compassionate friend instead? Your emotions follow your thoughts like thunder follows lightning. When your friend doesn't return your call, the unreturned call itself is neutral-it's your interpretation that creates suffering. Think "she's probably busy" and you feel fine.
