Foods that encourage fungal growth include alcoholic beverages (containing mycotoxins), yeast bread, peanuts, cooked rice, brewer's yeast, yeast extract spreads, mushrooms, and any food with traces of mold, including aged cheeses. Unhealthy lifestyle habits cause cell damage, triggering the body's microorganisms to evolve into bacteria as part of the cleanup process. Other dangerous mycotoxins include Ochratoxins (affecting kidneys and liver), Trichothecenes (causing vomiting and gastrointestinal distress), and several others with specific harmful effects on human health.
For decades, researchers have established compelling connections between fungus and cancer, though this link remains largely unrecognized in mainstream medicine. Professor A.V. Constantine, former head of WHO's Department of Mycology, documented how fungi and their mycotoxins cause major degenerative and cancerous diseases. In 2007, Dr. Tullio Simoncini published "Cancer is a Fungus," declaring "Candida is truly the cancer" after extensive research. Simoncini treats cancer with sodium bicarbonate-an inexpensive, safe substance that kills cancer cells by creating an alkaline, oxygen-rich environment hostile to fungus. Unlike conventional antifungals that fungi eventually adapt to, sodium bicarbonate's simplicity and rapid action prevent fungal adaptation. Environment-nutritional, spiritual, emotional, and mental-significantly affects gene expression, with some scientists now claiming only 2 percent of diseases can be blamed on genes. DNA structure becomes susceptible to breakage when oxygen levels drop. Dr. Linus Pauling found cancer resulted from broken genes caused by cellular oxygen deficiency. These rungs attach to the polysaccharide structure via minerals, most abundantly found in dark green leafy vegetables. Most DNA mutations result from mineral deficiencies that cause faulty messages from DNA to RNA. Mineral deficiencies stem primarily from impoverished soils, agricultural chemicals, dehydration, and caffeine consumption. Australian soil has been mineral deficient for approximately 50 years due to overtaxing, lack of crop rotation, and insufficient soil regeneration. Superphosphate fertilizers produce quick growth but kill soil microbes that deliver minerals to plants. The good news is that the human body can heal itself when given the right conditions, especially proper nutrition. Certain foods possess exceptional healing properties due to their high mineral content. Often overlooked as weeds, plants like stinging nettle pull more minerals from soil than any other plant. Aloe vera provides numerous vitamins and minerals plus monoatomic elements iridium and rhodium, which may help restore damaged DNA. The human body requires three essential nutrients: fiber, protein, and fat. Understanding the proper balance and sources of these nutrients is fundamental to supporting the body's self-healing mechanisms. Vegetables contain the highest fiber content and minerals, essential for every chemical reaction in the body. Fiber is also found in whole grains, fruits, legumes, seeds, and nuts. The gastrointestinal tract needs fiber to stimulate peristalsis and sweep its curves and corners-fiber is the body's broom. Refining grains to remove fiber can eliminate up to 80 percent of vitamins, depriving the body of essential nutrients. Protein provides amino acids necessary for DNA repair in every cell nucleus. Without protein, healing cannot occur. The energy cycle inside cells requires various amino acids for chemical reactions, making low-protein diets a potential cause of low energy. Every cell membrane consists of 50 percent protein and 50 percent fat. Vegetarian protein comes primarily from seeds-the reproductive part of plants containing all essential amino acids. These include grains (wheat, rye, spelt), legumes (lentils, chickpeas), nuts (almonds, walnuts), and seeds (pumpkin, flaxseed). Every cell is surrounded by a lipid membrane that's 50 percent fat. Joints need lubrication, sex hormones and stress hormones are made from cholesterol, and the brain contains significant fat. Yet fat phobia has led many to embrace carbohydrates, resulting in 62 percent of Australians being overweight despite low-fat diets. Three types of harmful fats include: animal fats containing environmental toxins stored in their fat tissues; refined sugars and carbohydrates that cause insulin spikes, with excess glucose stored as fat; and heat-altered fats with changed molecular structures that become mutagenic, including fried foods and margarine-which is nearly identical to plastic and causes cellular havoc. Healing fats include polyunsaturated fats like omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids (EFAs), which only plants can create. These maintain cell membranes and support brain function by attracting oxygen and generating electrical currents. The omega-3 family includes EPA and DHA (found in cold-water fish) and ALA (found in flaxseed, chia, and walnuts). DHA comprises 25% of the brain, 40% of cortical gray matter, and 90% of retinal fatty acids. The fat in our bodies consists of 45% saturated, 50% monounsaturated, and only 5% polyunsaturated fat-revealing that our bodies need over ten times more saturated and monounsaturated fat than polyunsaturated fat. Saturated fat provides essential energy, enables vitamin and mineral absorption, and supports growth, repair, and maintenance of all body tissues. Carbohydrates have become the quintessential fast foods in cities, with serious consequences: 280 new diabetics are diagnosed daily in Australia due to pancreatic strain, 62% of Australians are overweight from excess glucose storage, and cancer cells thrive on the glucose these foods provide. Up to 70% of Australians are gluten sensitive, intolerant, or celiac due to factors including extremely high gluten consumption, hybridized wheat strains, early introduction of grains to infants, and mineral-depleted soils.
To effectively address fungal overgrowth in the body, a comprehensive three-pronged approach is necessary: starve the fungus, kill the fungus, and restore balance. Starving the fungus requires completely eliminating its favorite foods-sugar and yeast-from the diet. This means removing all sugars (especially cane and beet sugar), honey, sweeteners, fruits and fruit juices (except for lower-sugar, antifungal Granny Smith apples and grapefruit). All yeast products must be eliminated, including yeasted bread, alcoholic beverages, yeast spreads and extracts, brewer's yeast, mushrooms, and soy sauce. Other items to avoid include old cooked food, any moldy food, corn and wheat grains, peanuts, meat, and dairy. Several herbs and foods can help bring fungus, yeast, and candida under control. Powerful antifungal herbs include garlic, olive leaf extract, oregano oil, Pau D'Arco, Horopito, grapefruit seed extract, and iodine (Lugol's solution). Alkalizing the body also helps kill fungus, which thrives in acidic environments. Antifungal foods include coconut (40% antifungal due to caprylic acid), legumes (particularly soy), and raw nuts and seeds. A major factor in most fungal problems is an imbalance in gut flora. The gastrointestinal tract contains the largest concentration of microorganisms in the body, including beneficial yeasts and bacteria that must exist in the right balance. Candida albicans is a yeast naturally present in human intestines, while Lactobacillus Acidophilus and Bifidus bacterium are two of approximately 400 species of indigenous organisms residing there. Drugs, antibiotics, alcohol, refined sugar, stress, and unhealthy lifestyle habits can destroy these healthy bacteria, allowing opportunistic Candida to multiply uncontrollably. Restoring balance requires encouraging the presence of acidophilus and bifidus through cultured foods like sourdough bread, sauerkraut, miso, tofu, tempeh, and soy yogurt, as well as probiotic supplements to repopulate the gut with beneficial bacteria. For those with cancer, a specialized six-week diet enables the body to eliminate cancer by creating conditions where cancer cells self-destruct. The program drastically reduces glucose intake, as cancer cells require sugar to survive and multiply at up to 15 times the rate of normal cells. The diet includes legumes, vegetables (especially green leafy and brassica varieties), limited grains (brown rice, millet, buckwheat, quinoa), specific fruits (avocado, lemon, lime, tomato), healthy oils, raw nuts and seeds, and specific supplements.
Fungus thrives in an acidic environment, which is measured on the pH scale (potential hydrogen). Even slight deviations from normal pH can signal dangerous imbalances in the body. The pH balance controls cellular processes by regulating enzymatic activity and electrical conductivity-acid environments are "hot and fast" while alkaline environments are "slow and cool." Blood pH is carefully maintained by the lungs and kidneys, as extreme variations can be fatal. When the body faces chronic acidic conditions, it pulls calcium phosphates from bones to neutralize the acid, contributing to osteoporosis. Microorganisms like bacteria, yeasts, and fungi not only create acidic conditions through their waste products but thrive in this environment, creating a dangerous cycle that must be broken. Dr. Tullio Simoncini has found success treating fungal conditions with sodium bicarbonate, which is highly alkaline. The body naturally produces sodium bicarbonate in the stomach lining and pancreas to neutralize acid. While sodium bicarbonate effectively alkalizes areas it contacts, it struggles to reach inaccessible organs. The solution lies in green foods, which are highly alkaline and accessible to all body tissues. Green vegetables and grasses provide excellent sources of alkaline salts that combat fungal growth. The greener the food, the more potent its alkalizing and cleansing properties. Chlorophyll, the pigment that makes plants green, has a molecular structure nearly identical to human blood, allowing it to build hemoglobin. Inside the body's cells, mitochondria burn glucose for energy, leaving behind an ash residue that combines with body fluids to form either an acid or alkaline pH. Whether foods leave an acid or alkaline ash depends primarily on their mineral composition. Alkaline-forming elements include calcium, potassium, magnesium, sodium, and iron, while acid-forming elements include sulfur, phosphorus, chlorine, and iodine. For optimal health, a person's diet should contain 80 percent alkaline-forming foods and 20 percent acid-forming foods. Beyond diet, several lifestyle factors significantly impact the body's acid-alkaline balance: 1. Oxygen alkalizes while carbon dioxide acidifies the body. Proper breathing through the nose using abdominal muscles, good posture, exercise, and exposure to fresh air all increase oxygen uptake. 2. Both excessive and insufficient sunshine create acidic body conditions. Just an hour of daily sunshine helps alkalize the body. Sunlight converts cholesterol under the skin into vitamin D, which inhibits cancer cell growth and aids calcium metabolism. 3. Temperance means avoiding harmful substances and moderating beneficial ones. Alcohol, caffeine, refined sugar, tobacco, drugs, chemicals, and heavy metals all create acidic conditions in the body. 4. Both excessive and insufficient sleep create acidic conditions. The pineal gland releases four crucial hormones between 9pm and 2am. Cells regenerate twice as fast during sleep, especially with early bedtimes. 5. Exercise increases oxygen availability to cells, which alkalizes the body and creates an environment where cancer cannot thrive. Twenty minutes of aerobic exercise activates human growth hormone (HGH), which improves protein utilization and shifts metabolism from burning glucose to burning fat. 6. Water alkalizes the body, and many people experience acidic conditions due to dehydration. The average human body loses two to three liters of water daily with no reserve system. 7. Sodium is vital for life and should be consumed as found in nature. Unrefined salts like Celtic and Himalayan contain approximately 82 minerals, while table salt contains only sodium and chloride, creating dangerous electrolyte imbalances. 8. Mental attitude significantly impacts acid-alkaline balance. Faith produces alkaline emotions while fear creates acid conditions. Negative emotions break down life forces and invite decay, while faith, hope, and positive emotions promote healing.
Hydrochloric acid (HCl) is one of the body's most powerful self-healing weapons, particularly against fungal problems. Produced in the liver and released into the stomach during digestion, HCl functions as a potent fungicide. When optimal levels are present, some HCl enters the bloodstream where it destroys blood-borne fungus. Research shows most people lose 10% of their digestive enzymes per decade after age 20. Food needs to "swim" in 3200-4000mg of HCl per meal for proper digestion. Contrary to popular belief, most "acid stomach" conditions actually result from insufficient HCl, causing food to ferment in the stomach and produce acid reflux and bloating symptoms.
