Jeffrey Gitomer emerged from a close, entrepreneurial upbringing in Haddonfield, New Jersey, where family, education, and business were tightly intertwined. He attended Haddonfield Memorial High School and later commuted to Temple University, but he has often described his deeper education as the practical training he received by working with his father and absorbing business conversation at home. He also traced a lasting part of his outlook to an early immersion in sales and personal development writing, especially Napoleon Hill, and to the demanding reality of early selling work in New York, where cold calls and direct persuasion became part of his foundation.
