Modernism in literature challenged traditional narrative structures, featuring chaotic plots like Kafka's The Metamorphosis where characters face incomprehensible realities. Music followed with Schoenberg's atonality and Stravinsky's chaotic rhythms, while architecture degenerated even in Catholic church buildings.
