Kerri Maniscalco is an American author of young adult historical fantasy and gothic mystery, best known for the Stalking Jack the Ripper series and the Kingdom of the Wicked trilogy. Her work blends murder investigations, romance, and supernatural elements, helping make her a widely read contemporary voice in YA genre fiction.
Kerri Maniscalco is an American novelist whose fiction grows out of an atmospheric upbringing and a visually oriented education. She was raised in New York’s Hudson Valley, in what she has described as a semi-haunted house outside New York City, and has traced her attraction to dark settings to that environment and to a family culture of reading. Her grandmother, mother, and regular childhood trips to libraries and bookstores helped make books central to her early life. In New York City she studied Fine Art before transferring into Communication Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, while also developing a serious interest in forensics, criminal justice, psychology, and historical research.
