Believing he could reinvigorate it by leading through humanitarian values, he brought the company back to public markets after 39 years of private ownership and achieved record revenues despite the pandemic. Bergh models authenticity through monthly "Chips and Beer" sessions where employees can ask anything, building trust through transparency. He's outspoken on issues like gun violence, climate change, and voting rights, targeting socially-aware Gen Z consumers. His lens for taking stands is: "Will we be on the right side of history 30 years from now?"
