Diversity has profoundly altered working-class life in Britain. By 2009, 52 pubs were closing weekly, with many becoming mere museum pieces in areas of white flight. Football stadiums, once cathedrals of working-class life, have relocated to suburban locations as their supporters moved away from inner cities. A more balanced approach requires rejecting the current interpretation of diversity as unlimited globalism while acknowledging its benefits when properly managed. Nation-states, despite their imperfections, have proven the most successful framework for developing and maintaining democratic institutions and social progress.
