These planets orbit incredibly close to their star, with "years" lasting between 1.5 and 19 Earth-days. From TRAPPIST-1e, which sits in the middle of the habitable zone, the other planets would appear as large as our Moon in the night sky, creating a mesmerizing celestial display. While Kepler revolutionized our understanding by discovering thousands of exoplanets, these worlds were typically a thousand light-years away-too distant to explore closely.
