    Lena: Sag mal, Miles, hast du eigentlich auch dieses Bild im Kopf, wenn du an die 80er denkst? Diese nebelverhangenen Wälder, Kinder auf BMX-Rädern und dieser ganz spezielle Synthesizer-Sound? Ich hab neulich erst wieder daran gedacht, wie das alles in Hawkins angefangen hat.

    Miles: Oh ja, absolut. Man vergisst das fast, weil die Serie mittlerweile so ein riesiges Monster-Epos geworden ist, aber im Kern fing alles mit diesem einen Moment an: Ein Junge verschwindet spurlos auf dem Heimweg. Will Byers. Das war damals der Auslöser für alles, was wir heute über das Upside Down wissen.

    Lena: Und wenn man sich überlegt, dass wir jetzt, im Jahr 2026, auf das komplette Erbe zurückblicken können. Die Duffer-Brüder haben uns ja echt lange zappeln lassen – ich erinnere mich noch an die riesige Vorfreude vor dem Finale der fünften Staffel Ende 2025. Da gab es ja diese wilden Theorien, ob alles nur eine Illusion ist oder ob Eleven sich am Ende wirklich opfern muss.

    Miles: Genau, und das Spannende ist ja, wie sich die Bedrohung gewandelt hat. Erst war es nur dieser gesichtslose Demogorgon, und am Ende stehen wir vor Vecna in seinem „Abyss“. Dass dieser Henry Creel eigentlich mal ein unschuldiger Junge war, der vom Mind Flayer korrumpiert wurde – das gibt der ganzen Sache doch eine ganz andere Tiefe, oder?

    Lena: Total. Vor allem, wenn man sieht, wie die Kids mit der Serie erwachsen geworden sind. Von den D&D-Runden im Keller bis hin zu Dustin, der am Ende diese krasse Rede als Valedictorian hält. Aber bevor wir uns in den Details verlieren, sollten wir vielleicht mal ganz von vorne anfangen und schauen, wie dieses Phänomen eigentlich seinen Lauf nahm...
