Ich hab da neulich mal was gelesen: Das ist gar kein Zufall, sondern diese Plattformen sind wie Spielautomaten gebaut. Dieser „Infinite Scroll“, also dass es immer weitergeht, nutzt halt aus, dass unser Gehirn auf Unvorhersehbarkeit steht. Man weiß nie, was als Nächstes kommt, und genau das hält uns fest.

    Miles: Genau das ist der Punkt. Es geht gar nicht nur um die verlorenen Stunden, sondern darum, dass unser Kopf sich an diese ständige Mikro-Stimulation gewöhnt. Alles andere – ein Buch lesen oder einfach mal in Ruhe kochen – fühlt sich dann plötzlich unerträglich langsam an. Aber weißt du, was das Spannende ist? Man kann dieses System austricksen, indem man die Umgebung ändert, statt nur auf Willenskraft zu setzen. Da müssen wir jetzt mal genauer hinschauen...
