In an era of record-high workplace stress affecting 44% of professionals, effective resilience requires moving away from the 'grin and bear it' model and focusing on sustainable recovery and professional wellness.

    Bouncing back from burnout is difficult because the very internal resources needed to move or recover are the ones that are already compromised. It is compared to asking someone with a broken leg to run a marathon; the physical and mental capacity required for the task is simply not available. True recovery requires acknowledging that humans are not machines with infinite batteries.
