Companies should develop clear security protocols enforced consistently, implement security awareness training, create simple rules defining sensitive information, establish verification procedures for restricted actions, and test employee susceptibility through security assessments. Perhaps most importantly, organizations must recognize that attackers have unlimited time to find just one vulnerability, while system administrators have limited time to secure everything. As Sun Tzu wrote in The Art of War: "Know thyself and know thy enemy; in a hundred battles you will never be in peril." Conduct thorough risk assessments, implement strong security policies, and exercise due care. Though well-resourced adversaries can eventually breach most systems, your goal should be making the effort so challenging that it's simply not worth their time. In this ongoing battle between security professionals and hackers, vigilance and adaptability remain the most powerful weapons in our arsenal.
