Nata il 5 dicembre 1994 a Filadelfia e cresciuta nella contea di Bucks, in Pennsylvania, Lippincott ha conseguito una laurea in scrittura inglese presso l'Università di Pittsburgh, dove un corso di letteratura per ragazzi ha trasformato la sua traiettoria professionale.
