In 1983, FBI agent John Douglas collapsed mid-case, his mind fracturing under the weight of too many crimes, too many killers. He awoke in a hospital convinced he was being tortured-naked, bound, violated-by the very predators he'd helped imprison. The voice of a nurse broke through: "Don't worry, John.
