La sua trilogia di Apocalisse Z è iniziata come un blog virale nel 2007, attirando oltre 1,5 milioni di lettori online prima di diventare un fenomeno editoriale.

Soprannominato "lo Stephen King spagnolo" da La Voz de Galicia, la narrazione viscerale di Loureiro fonde l'horror survivalista con la profondità emotiva, ambientata in scenari spagnoli ricchi di dettagli.
