Helen Scheuerer is an Australian fantasy author whose career combines formal publishing training with a strong instinct for building her own platforms. Drawn early to books and storytelling, she completed a Bachelor of Creative Arts in Creative Writing at the University of Wollongong and a Master of Publishing at the University of Sydney. Before her fiction career gathered pace, she worked as a writer and editor for Australian internet start-ups, then founded Writer’s Edit in 2013 after a formative trip through England’s Lake District. What began as an online literary project grew into a small press and writer resource that reached tens of thousands of readers and developed a notably visible online following.
