Ben Shapiro is an American conservative author, columnist, and commentator whose work focuses on politics, culture, and law. He has written books including Bullies, The Right Side of History, and The Authoritarian Moment, and is also known for co-founding The Daily Wire and hosting The Ben Shapiro Show.

Benjamin Aaron Shapiro was born in Burbank, California, on January 15, 1984, and grew up in Los Angeles County in a politically conservative Jewish family. A precocious student, he skipped grades, entered UCLA at 16, earned a B.A. in political science in 2004, and went on to graduate from Harvard Law School in 2007. His emergence as a public writer came unusually early: after writing for UCLA’s Daily Bruin, he joined Creators Syndicate at 17, becoming the youngest nationally syndicated columnist in the United States.
