    Jackson: Es que es justo eso lo que decía C. Wright Mills hace ya más de sesenta años. Él hablaba de esa sensación de "atrapamiento". Fíjate que tendemos a ver nuestras desgracias como "inquietudes privadas", algo que solo nos pasa a nosotros por nuestra culpa o mala suerte, cuando en realidad, si miras el panorama completo, son "problemas públicos".

    Jackson: Tal cual. Mills decía que no puedes entender la vida de una persona sin entender la historia de su sociedad. Si en un país de 50 millones de trabajadores hay 15 millones de parados, eso ya no es un fallo del individuo, es un fallo de la estructura económica. La imaginación sociológica es precisamente esa cualidad mental para conectar nuestra biografía con la historia.
