À propos de l'auteur

Michael Connelly est l'auteur à succès de La Défense Lincoln et un ancien reporter criminel dont l'expérience en journalisme d'investigation apporte une authenticité à ses thrillers juridiques et ses procédures policières. Né à Philadelphie en 1956, Connelly a travaillé comme reporter spécialisé dans les faits divers pour le Los Angeles Times avant de se tourner vers la fiction, s'appuyant sur des années de couverture de véritables affaires criminelles pour élaborer ses récits complexes.

La Défense Lincoln, publié en 2005, a marqué son premier thriller juridique et a introduit l'avocat de la défense Mickey Haller, le demi-frère de son détective emblématique Harry Bosch.

Connelly a écrit plus de 40 romans, dont la longue série Harry Bosch et la série Renée Ballard, son premier ouvrage Les Égouts de Los Angeles ayant remporté le prestigieux prix Edgar en 1992. Son œuvre a été adaptée dans des médias majeurs, notamment le film de 2011 La Défense Lincoln avec Matthew McConaughey et la série Netflix du même nom.

Connelly a reçu le titre de Grand Master de la part des Mystery Writers of America en 2023. Ses livres se sont vendus à plus de 85 millions d'exemplaires dans le monde et sont traduits en 45 langues.
