Kim Liggett est l'autrice à succès du New York Times et à l'international de The Grace Year (L'Année de grâce) et une voix acclamée de l'horreur YA et de la fiction spéculative féministe.

Originaire du Midwest rural, elle s'est installée à New York à seize ans pour poursuivre une carrière dans la musique, travaillant comme musicienne de studio et choriste tout au long des années 1980.

Fait remarquable, Liggett n'a commencé à écrire qu'à l'âge de quarante ans, surmontant sa dyslexie pour façonner des récits puissants sur l'adolescence, la survie et les systèmes qui montent les femmes les unes contre les autres. Son roman d'horreur The Last Harvest a remporté le prix Bram Stoker 2018 pour la littérature Young Adult.
