À propos de l'auteur de Histoire de Provins...

David Foster Wallace (1962–2008), auteur du chef-d'œuvre postmoderne L'Infinie Comédie, était un romancier et essayiste de renom, lauréat de la bourse MacArthur, dont les œuvres dissèquent la culture américaine avec une satire sombre et une profondeur philosophique.

Diplômé en philosophie et en anglais de l'Amherst College, Wallace a canalisé sa rigueur académique et son éducation dans le Midwest pour explorer les thèmes de l'addiction, de la surcharge de divertissement et de la recherche de connexion humaine dans son roman qui a défini le genre.
