Karin Slaughter est l'auteure à succès de Morte la peur (Blindsighted) et l'une des écrivaines de romans policiers les plus acclamées au monde. Née en 1971 en Géorgie, Slaughter a lancé sa carrière avec Morte la peur en 2001, un thriller captivant qui introduisait la médecin légiste Sara Linton et le chef de la police Jeffrey Tolliver dans la ville fictive de Heartsdale, en Géorgie.

Son portrait sans concession de la violence et sa profondeur psychologique ont établi sa réputation pour ses récits intenses, centrés sur les personnages, qui examinent comment le crime transforme les communautés.

Slaughter a écrit plus de 25 romans, dont la série Will Trent et des succès indépendants comme Cop Town, Pretty Girls et Son vrai visage (Pieces of Her).
