How can I determine which of the three groups a Japanese verb belongs to?

To identify a verb's group, you use a simple elimination process starting with its dictionary form, which always ends in an "u" sound. First, check if it is one of the two irregular verbs: *suru* (to do) or *kuru* (to come).
