Traditional cooling methods are struggling to keep up with the step function increase in heat rejection. As rack densities move from six kilowatts to twenty-seven kilowatts, the industry must look beyond standard PUE to manage the critical cooling needs of high-density hardware.
With the rise of high-density GPU architectures like NVIDIA Blackwell, traditional air cooling is often insufficient. In these high-density environments, if a liquid cooling loop fails, operators may have only seventy-five seconds before the system reaches a critical failure threshold. This makes liquid cooling an essential component for preventing compute stoppages and ensuring the physical safety of the hardware in the face of massive heat production.
