As we navigate this historic transition, we must recognize that neither capitalism nor the Collaborative Commons alone can address our complex challenges. We need a hybrid system that preserves innovation while ensuring the benefits of near-zero marginal cost are widely shared. By embracing cooperation alongside competition, abundance alongside efficiency, and biosphere consciousness alongside technological advancement, we can create an economy that serves humanity's highest aspirations rather than merely its material needs.
