Rohit Bhargava is a marketer, trend curator, and business author whose work focuses on marketing, innovation, leadership, and consumer behavior. He is best known for the Non-Obvious trend series and books such as Likeonomics, helping popularize practical trend analysis and more human-centered approaches to branding, influence, and communication.
Rohit Bhargava’s career has been shaped by movement across countries, industries, and forms of storytelling. Born in India, he moved to the United States as an infant and, by his late teens, had already traveled to more than 30 countries. He studied English, screenwriting, and poetry at Emory University, a literary foundation that helps explain the narrative clarity of his later business writing. After a year working at Kramerbooks & Afterwords Cafe in Washington, D.C., he moved to Sydney in 1999 and began his advertising career at Leo Burnett during the early dot-com era. That combination of global exposure, literary training, and early digital work became the basis for a career built on interpreting culture and explaining why people notice, trust, and share certain ideas.
