    La ansiedad financiera es una respuesta humana ante la incertidumbre económica y el peso de las deudas. Según comentan Nia y Blythe, se manifiesta físicamente como un nudo en el estómago o un estrés constante al revisar las cuentas bancarias. No es solo un problema de números, sino una presión emocional que se mete bajo la piel y afecta la salud mental de quienes sienten que no pueden gestionar su situación económica.

    El estrés por dinero es una realidad muy común que afecta a gran parte de la población. En España, aproximadamente un 60 % de las personas siente este agobio al menos una vez por semana, mientras que casi un 38 % vive con esta angustia a diario. Estas cifras demuestran que la ansiedad financiera no es un fallo personal, sino un problema sistémico que genera una alarma constante en la mente de muchos ciudadanos.

    Existe un fuerte estigma financiero porque socialmente se percibe el tener deudas o no llegar a fin de mes como un fracaso personal o una falta de capacidad como adulto funcional. Debido a este prejuicio, apenas un 1,7 % de las personas busca ayuda profesional para gestionar la presión emocional económica. Esta situación provoca que la mayoría de la gente sufra en silencio, sintiéndose sola a pesar de que más de la mitad de la población atraviesa dificultades similares.
