Trust Calibration is the process of ensuring a user’s trust in a tool matches its actual reliability. While a PM always strives for high accuracy, it is dangerous for a user to trust an 85% accurate model 100% of the time, as this leads to catastrophic failures when the user stops verifying outputs. In the current landscape, most companies use similar underlying models from the same major labs, meaning the model itself is rarely a competitive "moat."
