As "people who are free," we're liberated to love generously, pursuing moral purity by putting to death what is earthly while putting on "compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience." This heaven-empowered love may set us at odds with the world, but we remain settled and safe in God's peace. Christ has overcome the world, and through Him, we will too. After our last breath, we will finally see Him as He is, and "we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is." Beholding, we become holy.
