Stephen J. Dubner

生年: August 26, 1963 – Duanesburg, New York, United States

Stephen J. Dubner is an American journalist, author, and podcast host best known for co-authoring Freakonomics and its sequels with economist Steven D. Levitt. His work explores economics, incentives, and human behavior; Freakonomics sold millions of copies worldwide and was translated into dozens of languages.

経歴と著者の歩み

Stephen J. Dubner’s career joins curiosity, reporting, and narrative craft. Raised in upstate New York as the youngest of eight children in a family shaped by strong religious commitments and his father’s newspaper work, he started writing early; his first published piece appeared in Highlights. At Appalachian State University he studied communication and formed The Right Profile, a band signed to Arista Records. The decisive break came when he left music for graduate study, earning an M.F.A. at Columbia, teaching in its English Department, and moving into magazine and newspaper work at New York and The New York Times. That family history later became the basis of his memoir Turbulent Souls, later republished as Choosing My Religion. ((https://freakonomics.com/about/the-hosts/?utm_source=openai))
