Liu Cixin
生年: June 23, 1963 – Yangquan, Shanxi, China
Liu Cixin is a Chinese science fiction writer known for hard-science themes, cosmic-scale speculation, and reflections on civilization, technology, and humanity. He is best known for The Three-Body Problem and the Remembrance of Earth’s Past trilogy. His work won the Hugo Award and helped bring contemporary Chinese SF to global audiences.

Born in Beijing in 1963 and raised largely in Shanxi after his family’s Cultural Revolution-era dislocations, Liu Cixin came to science fiction through both upheaval and wonder. As a boy he read foreign classics from his father’s collection, watched China’s first satellite stir his interest in the cosmos, and later studied engineering at the North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power.
