    Miles: Oh ja, absolut. Man fühlt sich dann irgendwie total klein, oder? Und das Kuriose ist ja, dass man gleichzeitig Leute beobachtet, die einfach so in den Raum spazieren und sofort diese Präsenz haben. Man denkt dann immer, die sind halt so geboren.

    Lena: Genau! Aber ich hab neulich was gelesen, das mich echt beruhigt hat. Selbstbewusstsein ist anscheinend gar kein festes Charaktermerkmal, sondern vielmehr so eine Art Handwerk. Die Neuropsychologie sagt sogar, dass unser Gehirn gar nicht deinen Lebenslauf checkt, sondern primär auf Signale reagiert.

    Miles: Stimmt, das ist dieses Biofeedback-Ding, oder? Dass der Körper dem Kopf quasi eine Geschichte erzählt. Wenn ich mich also aufrecht hinstelle, glaubt mein Gehirn irgendwann selbst, dass ich sicher bin – selbst wenn ich innerlich eigentlich noch total zittere.

    Lena: Eben! Es reicht wohl schon, wenn man nur ein Prozent an der Haltung schraubt. Schultern ein Stück zurück, Kinn minimal hoch. Das Spannende ist ja, dass Smalltalk dann gar nicht mehr nur so ein lästiger Zeitvertreib ist, sondern ein Werkzeug, um sich emotional sicher zu fühlen.
