What makes a 23-year-old with a revenue-less company reject Mark Zuckerberg's $3 billion buyout offer? Evan Spiegel's decision to turn down Facebook's billions for Snapchat would be scrutinized for decades. Spiegel and cofounder Bobby Murphy immediately bought copies of Sun Tzu's "The Art of War" for their six employees. When Poke launched days later, it briefly hit #1 in the App Store before Snapchat surged ahead by Christmas Day.
