Sir Martin Louis Amis (1949–2023) était l'auteur acclamé de La Zone d'intérêt et une figure de proue de la satire britannique contemporaine. Il mêlait humour noir et critique sociale incisive dans son exploration de la moralité au sein de la société moderne.

Nommé à deux reprises pour le prix Booker (La Flèche du temps, Le Chien jaune) et fils du romancier Kingsley Amis, il a façonné des œuvres emblématiques comme Money et London Fields qui dissèquent les excès du capitalisme avec un esprit grotesque.
