Denis Noble est un physiologiste britannique pionnier et l'auteur de La Musique de la vie : La biologie au-delà des gènes, un ouvrage de vulgarisation scientifique révolutionnaire qui a introduit la biologie des systèmes auprès du grand public.

Né en 1936, Noble est professeur émérite de physiologie cardiovasculaire à l'Université d'Oxford.
