Nina George est l'auteure à succès international de La Lettre oubliée (The Little Paris Bookshop) et une romancière allemande primée dont l'œuvre explore les thèmes du deuil, de la guérison et de la découverte de soi à travers des voyages littéraires. Née en 1973 à Bielefeld, en Allemagne, George s'est inspirée de sa propre expérience du deuil à la suite du décès de son père pour écrire ce roman semi-autobiographique sur la bibliothérapie et le pouvoir transformateur des livres. L'histoire suit le voyage d'un libraire littéraire à travers les voies navigables de France, mêlant fiction contemporaine et riches références méta-littéraires à des œuvres classiques.

Journaliste indépendante depuis 1992, George a publié 28 livres et plus de 600 chroniques pour de grandes publications. Elle a été présidente du Conseil des écrivains européens (European Writers' Council) et est une militante dévouée à la défense des droits des auteurs.

George partage son temps entre Berlin et un petit village de pêcheurs en Bretagne, en France. La Lettre oubliée a passé plus de quarante semaines sur la liste des meilleures ventes du New York Times, a été traduit en 37 langues et s'est vendu à plus de 500 000 exemplaires dans le monde.
