Marissa Stapley est l'auteure à succès du New York Times de Lucky, un thriller policier captivant sur une arnaqueuse en cavale avec un ticket de loterie gagnant. En tant qu'ancienne journaliste et rédactrice en chef de magazine diplômée de l'Université Ryerson, Stapley apporte des instincts narratifs aiguisés à son exploration de l'identité, de la rédemption et de la complexité morale. Son expérience dans la rédaction d'articles de fond pour des publications à travers l'Amérique du Nord nourrit le portrait authentique du roman d'une femme naviguant entre tromperie et survie.
