Jason F. Stanley est l'auteur de How Fascism Works: The Politics of Us and Them et professeur de philosophie titulaire de la chaire Jacob Urowsky à l'université de Yale. Il est reconnu comme un chercheur de premier plan sur la propagande, l'autoritarisme et la préservation de la démocratie.

Né en 1969 à Syracuse, dans l'État de New York, Stanley apporte un éclairage à la fois personnel et académique à l'examen de la politique fasciste ; sa famille a fui l'Allemagne nazie en 1939. Ses travaux explorent la manière dont les mouvements autoritaires manipulent la perception publique et érodent les institutions démocratiques.
