À propos de l'auteur

Cassandra Clare (née Judith Rumelt) est l'autrice à succès de La Cité des ténèbres et la créatrice de la saga mondialement acclamée des Chroniques des Chasseurs d'Ombres, un vaste univers de fantasy urbaine qui a captivé les jeunes lecteurs du monde entier. Née à Téhéran, en Iran, de parents américains et ayant grandi dans plusieurs pays, l'enfance itinérante de Clare lui a insufflé un amour profond pour la narration et la littérature fantastique. Elle a commencé à écrire La Cité des ténèbres en 2004, inspirée par les possibilités magiques et sombres du paysage urbain de Manhattan, mêlant l'action de la chasse aux démons à la romance et aux thèmes du passage à l'âge adulte.
